Construction Work

To develop and support standardised cost proposals and analyses that meet all legal and company policies and procedural requirements;
Actively support new and follow-on business proposals and ensure assigned cost analyses/studies are completed in a timely manner.
This position typically works under close supervision and direction.

Costing and Quotations
* Maintains awareness of assigned project/proposal schedules, requirements and priority status including contractual milestones and delivery requirements.
* Source all information required to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimations for labour, materials, travel, overheads and any other costs.
* Customise Bill of Materials for specificscenario being costed.
* Assist Program Managers with developing and supporting standardised cost proposals and analyses.
* Co-ordinates the authorisation process for all quotations in a timely manner.
* Supports business considerations including identification and adherence to work requirements.
* Maintains awareness of specific contracts’ parameters and customer types.
Forecasting
* Forecast profit, cash flows and retu
on asset calculations.
* Provides standardised data for financial analyses or models.
* Prepares packages for cost estimating management review.
Data Input/Analysis
* Provides data input, as required, to support proposals, audits, fact-finding, and negotiations.
* Ensure accurate data input and support of new tools and models.
* Provides, as required, data input for estimating models and techniques.
* Provides, as required, data input for proposal packages and requirements.
* Provides inputs to selected analyses.
* Tracks costing versus actuals
Complying with Rules and Regulations
* Complies with cost estimating system requirements.
* Complies with estimating policies and implementation plans.
Auditing
* Develops rigorous self-audit of costing data and excel models to ensure accuracy
Team Work
* Assists, as required, with ProgrammeFinance team month end requirements.
* Assist with any other costing that may be required as necessitated by workflow demands or requested by senior management.

* Ensure own health and safety and that of others byfollowing all rules and procedures, reporting and managing all hazards in the work area and actively contributing to, and participating in, company health and safety initiatives.
Minimum qualifications required:
Four year tertiary degree, or equivalent,in business administration, finance, accounting or closely related discipline plus a minimum of 3-5 years related experience._ _
Training/experience required:
* Proficient desktop computer applications skills required – MS excel, project, powerpoint, word
* Excellent communication skills to tactfully interface with various levels of employees and management
* Excellent analytical and excel skills
* Adept analytical and numerical skills required.
* Ability to prioritise work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines.
* Able to concentrate, focus, and perform analyses.
* Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
* Flexibility to work extended hourswhen required
* Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
